I just reistalled xp home on my box and started updating so I can get it back to sp2. I'm having problems with a currupt file with the BITS and winhttp 5.1 package KB842773. Mircsoftupdate gives me error code 0xD00E4104 . I searched the microsoft support groups and cant find any help. There was one thread just like mine but it was a year old and nobody helped them. Pretty much I'm dead in the water so to speak on getting updates untell I get this resolved.
Even after going to "driver signing" and setting it to install anyway windows wont let me install some program. i.e the software that came w/ my mp3 player is sansa converter. It installs media player 10 and dircx9. Windows will let the converter install but not the media player 10 or the dircx9. I cant put media on my player with out those 2 programs. When sansa goes to install these 2 programs I get the message hey did'nt pass the windows logo test.
Anybody have any ideas? I'll appreciate any ideas.
