The basic fonts in Linux aren't all that nice-looking.

The Register offers a way to make them look nice.

Making fonts look nice under GNU/Linux:

Code: Select all

# Make them just as nice as Windows
emerge corefonts
# Make them better ;)
emerge freefonts
http://packages.gentoo.org/packages/?ca ... edia-fonts
- Gentoo font ebuilds :)

When installing Gentoo for a firewall I came across this site.

It has "safe" settings for your make.conf file.

I have recently set up a linux.BSD help site, bit thin on content atm (04.03.06), But I'm waiting on a few people to write me some tutorials/scripts & papers for the site. Alternatively, you can find us on the same IRC network as ht0rg (irc.tddirc.net) at channels #linux and #bsd

It can be found at http://www.quicknix.org.uk
