One of the most interesting uses you could put google to includes or rather included the use of the "numrange" operator. It went something like this "numrange:20000-30000" , this query would return all the numbers in between that range in your result. People used this to get credit card numbers off from google, and it worked too as i a long time back found a few lists myself. But since then i think google has made improvements to this feature and you can't find that much as you could some time back. Infact i think that this query won't even work anymore, but there is an alternative to that too, doing "20000..30000" would also do but i doubt if you'll find any credit card numbers now, because i failed pretty badly when i tried and the ones that i did find were previously stolen and already blocked or expired. Nonetheless, its a handy little operator.

Heh, if a site's authentication is done very poorly you can bypass logins, this used to work, but not often can vulnerabilities like that be found. But sensitive files, yeah, they're easy to find if you know how.

I would like to say I think Google is one of the most under used hacker tools. One of the best things I love about Google, this is not really even a hack, but a lot of professors at colleges use test from the book(teachers edition). Therefore, when you get your first test/quiz/homework, you can put that exact question into a search engine and most of the time another professor from a different university has all the answers POSTED online. I have had this happen to at least 2 classes every semester, that I have had.

That can all be reversed. My Computer Science teacher had the AP students write up a report, and he would google a sentence or phrase from each report, since he only has about 20 kids per class. You can guess the rest (he caught all of the cheaters, no matter what the phrase will appear online... that is unless you find a .pdf file )

I remember when this stuff came out on the Something Awful forums and people set up telnet connections to print out 300 pages of Goatse on network printers. There were a lot of bans that day.
