What is the best solution to create a 100% anonymous forum?

Post by kraaken » Wed Feb 23, 2011 4:45 pm

I have plans creating a new anonymous and "secure" forum and i need:

1. A anonymous server overseas, no IP logging which can come in the wrong hands and so on.
2. A good and user friendly forum script.

The server must support
500-2.000 users/regular members

Somebody who can help me with this?

This is NOT to be made for child porn, illegal drugs, terror or other sick shit.

But i need to create a forum that is in safe and good hands and not possible to trace back to the creator,
IP logs must be safe and so on ..

What is the best company to trust with this and what is the cost of creating and running this?

Thx, for all help!!!

There's no one thing you can do to make it hard to trace back whos forum it is. But generally there's some things you can do. Like you mentioned, search for a hosting provider that does not keep logs of requests, configure your forum to not log IP addresses etc.
But keep in mind a network tap can still identify traffic sources with no problem, so people will need to use proxies and tunnels etc to connect if you want to be safe.

Also, be sure to use SSL (https) to make it harder to sniff the actual data going over the network.

Generally Sweden has been a pretty good choice inside of Europe. Outside you could look to places like China, Russia and Ukraine.

Thx

Sweden is not an option, but Russia, China or the like is absolutely.

Any hosts anybody here can go good for?
If they have a customable forum package this is also a big plus, my skills in servers and forum scripts is at the best poor. Tips is therefore really apreachiated.

It's also a big plus if the forum script is easy to customize.

Maybe your forum could always redirects to a tor howto unless the user is already connected through tor ?

Look into Tor Hidden Services, that's certainly the way to go for a project like this.

I don't think tor allows redirects. From a browser at-least. Feel free to school me if im mistaken.
