Yes.

A variety of techniques can be used. Common ones include;

Shoulder surfing: looking over someones shoulder as they type in their password. Either physically or by hidden camera.

Attacking the secret question: Provided they haven't filled in something nonsensical for their secret answer, it may well be possible to obtain the information needed to answer the secret "I've lost my password" question. I'm not sure how Yahoo handles these things today, but in the past this has been a common method for gaining entry to accounts.

Physical keylogger: In lieu of using spyware to log keystrokes one may buy a device that can be plugged between the keyboard and the computer to accomplish the same job. You can buy one for less than $20 but they're useless for laptops or smartphones of course.
If we're breaking the rules, then how come you can't catch us? You can't find us? I know why. Cause, it's ... MAGIC!
