pcmcia card

Just started stumbling but, I can't catch any packets. Someone suggested promiscuous mode. This is on XP with a D-link pcmcia. So how would I do that, where do I go to change it to promiscuous mode?

I looked in the wireless network connection properties but found nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

This might be of help, monitor mode and is it possible that my sniffer(ethereal) isn't compatible with my adapter. I'm gonna try CommView and see if that takes care of my problem. But I need a different adapter, anyone wanna buy a dwl-650, lol.

Sorry, Did not see this earlier.

Have you tried netstumbler and the demo version of Capsa. Works well. Also Cain will work and has a built in Wireless app that works with the sniffer.
