second my problem is the link im giving out to my friends arent working but is working on my computer

the ff attachments are my no-ip setting and router port forward setting


my question is how can i make someone to view my website that isnt in my network?

Your problem is that you've set ramiia.no-ip.info to direct to 192.168.2.100 -- this IP is your PC's LAN IP address, and is only valid inside your personal network. You need to set ramiia.no-ip.info to your WAN IP; that is, the IP assigned to you by your ISP.

Looking at your post history on the forums, you have a dynamic IP which (correct me if I'm wrong -- I have the luxury of a static IP) you will need to handle with something like DynDNS.

Your port forward works fine, too: if I go to http://210.213.x.x/patoc/patoc.html in my browser, I am directed to your webserver ("Patoc Family Tree").

thanks voide, so the url i should give out is http://210.213.x.x/patoc/patoc.html , i did try to give it out and it works for someone whose not in my network, i go and try to recall my html and php to get started with my family tree.

also could any of you tell me how can i set up my web server properly so i can patched up most if not all vulnerabilities in my server?

I don't know if there's really a one-step procedure for this, but what I would do is:

1) Search Google for any known vulnerabilities in the software you're using.
2) Check out the official websites of the software you're using for the latest versions, released patches, advisories, etc.
3) Get proactive and scan your web server with tools similar to Nessus, Metasploit, GFI Languard, etc.
4) Ask a friend to try to root your web server.
5) Look into ways of protecting your LAN in the event the web server is compromised.

Register patoc.org (if its available) you could try easydns, they seem to allow dns management which is what you're going to need http://www.easydns.com/

Once you've done that, you need to add an "A" record in the dns management control panel to point to your external ip address.

thanks a lot, somehow i figure it out how to change 210.213.x.x to another, now http://ramiia.no-ip.info/patoc/patoc.php should work, but would love to try the one you suggested highjack hope its free though!
