Is Amazon S3 Secure Enough?

I was considering saving there sensitive data, I'm just wondering is it secure enough?

If you configure it correctly, it's fairly secure. But I'd store my data encrypted.

Yeah that is a good idea, I'd simply upload an encrypted disk image.
