well my fav are without orden
nod32

I'm currently using Kaspersky AV, but I used NOD32 before that. Kaspersky may be a little more straining on the resources than NOD32, but it doesn't matter to me. I prefer Kaspersky 'cause it's a lot safer in my opinion.

I haven't used AVG before, but I could give it a shot.

Norton is a crazy resource pig.

The free version of AVG has a mad detection ability. It's not so good at removing threats, but thats not that hard to do manually.

Nod 32 is the best in my opinion. I've tried alot of different kinds of AV, but this one has satisfied me the most.

I use AVG, it's my favorite.
Doesn't slow my computer like a lot of the others do, and it's free.

Wow, no hard data in this entire thread... since when did computer science become all touchy-feely and opinion based instead of, well... a science?

cheers,

Since when did comp sci questions start being posed in a format that requires opinionated and personally biased answers.

Had the question been in a format which invited the analysis based on preset, verifiable and accessible references then I'm sure answers posed would have utilised those measures.

The question wasn't, in fact it deliberately stated that the original poster was interested in personal experience.
