Cryptography Links

Post by B-Con » Tue Jan 17, 2006 4:59 am

At long last, here is the list of cryptography links I have compiled. I would simply like to note two things about this list.

First, don't be confused by the organization, I simply have it organized three lists deep. The outer list organizes the major topics. The inner list for each topic consists of links for subjects relevent to that topic. However, some subjects are complex, and I want to provide more than one link for it, so I use another list to organize all the links for that subject. (I just wish BBC wouldn't force so much whitespace in the lists).

Second, this list is not complete -- it isn't even half of my personal bookmarks. I plan to flesh out and refine this list over time, as I have not come anywhere close to providing an exhaustive list of links for any of the topics. (Feel fee to suggest *good* links to me that you believe would make a unique contribution to this list.)

- "Cryptographically secure linear feedback shift register based stream ciphers" -- a phrase that'll get any party started.

- Why know the ordinary when you can understand the extraordinary?

That's a great list B-Con.

There's not really alot on cryptographic attacks though, i'll have at look at mine, although most decent explanations were in books, but i can still look.

And I have to admit I was majorly disappointed by the FBI paper =)

eh nevermind, for some reason i didn't see

at first.

Yes, cyrptographic attacks is the biggest area I want to improve on.

The material exists out there, it's just that a) There's not half as much on attacks as there are on normal ciphers, and b) most of what exists sucks, usually because it's a copy-n-paste from someone else's article with just enough changed to avoid obvious plagarism.

But expect inhancements in that field specifically in the next update. I know it's sorely lacking.

And yeah, the FBI paper is misleading. I'll probably retitle it to be a bit less deceptive ;)

Good find. I'll add that to a future revision.

Speaking of which, I've restructured the links list. Stupid board has to insert blank lines in my lists, though.

Great links, thanks for all who managed to do it.
