Locked out of Win 98 plz help

Please help me, my Dad locked me out of our computer cuz our hard-drive is starting to burn out (it's 5 years old) and he thinks I screwed with the computer. I know that when the profiles come up that pressing the exit button on the top right loads you to the defult desktop, but can you use the regestry edit to find the password?? If not could you please tell me how to get the password thank you very much.

I can't find the .pwl files I went to find - files or folders and entered .pwl but it did not find any please help.

Make sure all files are shown and none are hidden
