Windows Homegroup

Post by ramiia » Wed Apr 15, 2015 12:40 pm

Here is the scenario, I just reformat 3 units, 2 of them uses wifi connection and one on ethernet cable, I have no problem connecting those with wifi connection in joining the same group, but on the third one that uses ethernet cable, I dont see the JOIN option, instead all I see is create a homegroup, also on network tab in windows I can see both wifi in the list of each other but both cant see the one with ethernet cable and on ethernet cable I cant see those running with wifi connection.

**sorry if i failed to explain it plain and simple** I tried almost all tutorial from the first page of google result nothing works out.

Sounds like a bridging problem between your wireless and wired networks.

you did mention bridging, in both of my wifi capable units, should I bridge their wifi and lan connection?

You should only need to bridge them in the places where the same device does actually have both LAN and WiFi connections. The others you can bridge them but there's really no point.
