Would you say that RedHat is best for users that are new to Linux?

no i'll say mandrakes...
mandrakes' install wizard can walk you through everything, include partitioning... pretty neat huh...

Red Hats install wizard is easier. It does all the same things that madrakes does.

Yeah it does all of that and it is automated unless you want to partition it or choose your packages also I thought that it was easier to choose my packages in Redhat than when I installed Mandrake.

I think Knoppix would be good for you to begin. You dont install it, its really easy to use and is good for begginers and you just take the cd out and your back to your other OS. Redhat and Mandrake are also good and is easy to use, really any of the three are good for beginners.
